“Hong Kong is a hub of international trade fairs, making it a good place to do business. This is our first time exhibiting at this fair in a bid to raise our exposure to buyers worldwide. We are specialising in original design patterns for different businesses from stationery to home décor, kitchen collection, toys and shopping bags. We’ve had a good response and already received orders from buyers.”
Sylvie Boucher, Manager, Studio Marine, France
“Creativity makes a difference. The fair offers us a platform to promote our innovative branding and advertising services to customers from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and overseas. With Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer next door, we hope to secure some fashion customers, too. We are confident of developing our business through a good partnership with HKTDC.”
Timothy Lai, Account & Marketing Executive, Eggshell Creative Limited, Hong Kong
“This is an excellent platform for us to explore the Chinese mainland and overseas markets. We are very pleased with HKTDC’s organisation. This year, there are quite a number of buyers from emerging markets. We are optimistic and expect to receive several million dollars-worth of orders through the exhibition for our Tales by Pave and Giimmö Magic Light products.”
Tony Tseng, CEO, Artilize Worldwide Co Ltd, Taiwan
“Trade fairs organised by HKTDC are well established and international buyers have confidence in their quality and effectiveness. We are pleased with HKTDC’s success in drawing visitors around the world. At this fair, we are showcasing a range of new designs including iPod speakers and calculators. Buyers have shown great interest in our products with some orders concluded already.”
Yuk Wang, Sales Manager, Homade Company Limited, Hong Kong
“Hong Kong is a well-connected place for buyers around the world to come and do business. This is a good exhibition to show our new designs and new product categories, and we have seen good responses from buyers. Our strength in design capability is key to business development.”
Vincent Garcia, Owner, Ningbo Chuyang Houseware Co Ltd, Chinese mainland
“This is our first time exhibiting here and we like it. We have generated big interest in our Danish fairy tale characters. It is interesting to meet so many people from different parts of the world and we have established good business contacts here. The organiser’s arrangements are very good. We are already planning to return next year.”

“My company operates 135 stores specialising in arts & crafts. This is my first time at this show – the July timing allows me to source for the early part of next year. In addition, we have just developed a hobby goods section, so I am particularly interested in items such as race-car sets, telescopes and microscopes. I have seen things in these categories that have interested me and I have gathered information from the suppliers for follow up.”
Bill Maisch, Senior Buyer, A.C. Moore Arts & Crafts, Inc., US
“It is very convenient for me come here every year to source products for our own brands in the field of plush and gifts. We always find new suppliers here, which is important because we need new ideas. The facilities here are always good – we have no problems as far as organisation is concerned.”
Yu Siew Leng, Managing Director, Win (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., Malaysia
“Home Centre has a chain of around 55 stores in the Middle East and India – despite the economic slowdown we posted a 10% growth last year. This show offers an opportunity in the calendar to meet new suppliers, catch up with existing ones and understand the latest trends. I have placed orders across the board, with new and old suppliers – among the interesting products I’ve seen are cutlery, laundry hampers and stationery.”
Jeffrey Luke Walker, Buyer, Homewares Buying Department, Home Centre, UAE
“This show offers a last chance to make a final check with suppliers on our models for the Christmas season and to make some last-minute orders, but I am also looking to buy for next year. One of the great products I have seen is a 4D model of New York City, and I have discussed with the supplier to make a Tokyo version exclusively for Toys “R” Us in Japan. This fair is well organised and the suppliers are good quality.”
Taka Toyama, Director, Product Development Department, Merchandise Division, Toys “R” Us-Japan, Ltd., Japan
“I have come here for the first time to look for new suppliers – our company operates 20 outlets in Thailand. I am mainly looking for houseware, such as pots, pans and gadgets, as well as luggage. It is easy to find one’s way around the fair and the organisation is good.”
Arunee Tulaya-Anukit, General Manager, General Goods Merchandising Center, Robinson Department Store Public Company Limited, Thailand
“We have our own brand of plush toys in Russia but we want to expand more into gifts, so we have come here to meet new suppliers. We have found interesting ideas, such as dishes and magnetic stationery, plus Christmas decorations. We appreciate the efforts of the HKTDC to arrange the networking reception and seminars – it is important to share experiences with other people in this economic crisis.”
Anna Kalinina, Purchasing Department, Gulliver & Co, Russia
